Volunteer Teaching
Currently, we have a team of student volunteers who meet with underserved children through
weekly virtual conferences. These volunteers dedicate a portion of their weekend schedules to guide their students who are struggling both at
school and at home. They have become much more than an instructor, but a big brother or a sister who deeply cares about the wellbeing of their
mentees. Our Volunteer Teaching program has proved to be an incredible way for students to develop a stronger sense of confidence, self-worth,
and empathy.
Promoting Equity and Diversity
Having the courage to address the countless forms of injustices is a quality of critical importance.
Our students have participated in activities where they support women’s passions in STEM, spread awareness of racial, ethnic, and cultural
discriminations in their neighborhoods, and host exhibitions at their school to promote inclusiveness through art. Our team of experienced educators
also hosts routine workshops and round-table discussions where students examine a multitude of challenges we face in today’s world.
Local Community Service
We guide our students to step into their neighborhoods and discover ways to contribute to their local
communities. Some of our students have volunteered at children’s museums or senior centers, others have worked at libraries or recycling centers.
These experiences do not merely account for an additional paragraph in their resume, but represent a journey towards kindness and decency.
